Goats For Sale

You may be surprised by our candid (and sometimes brutally honest) descriptions of the goats we have for sale. We believe that every goat has a place, and we know that every future goat owner has a different set of criteria for their “perfect” goat. If we describe our animals as accurately as possible, they are more likely to find a happy home, and our customers will be happy with the goats they get from us. Not every goat has the potential to be a bucket busting milker or a master champion, and although genetics can be a crapshoot, we’ll do our best to let you know what type of genetics are behind each individual goat. We know that most goats will never see the inside of a show ring, so we focus our descriptions more on the personalities and milking abilities of the goats and their parents. If you have specific questions not answered here, or if you would like to see more pictures, please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information.

Don’t live in Illinois?

No problem. We ship out of O’Hare International Airport in Chicago or the regional airport in Bloomington, IL. We will make the shipping arrangements with the airline and deliver the kid to the airport. Although delivery to the Bloomington airport is free, we charge $30 for taking an animal to O’Hare, because it is a 3 or 4-hour round-trip to Chicago. All airlines – and ALL out-of-state travel – require a health certificate, which costs $70 to $150 as of June 2016, and is subject to change without notice, since this is what our vet charges us, and we don’t know when she is changing her prices.

You will also need a dog crate for shipping. You can either mail us your own crate or purchase one on-line and have it delivered to us.

If you’d like to know more about what is involved, you can check out Delta Cargo pet shipping information, which is the primary airline we use. We don’t like using American because they don’t take reservations for animals flying out of Peoria, which is the closest airport to us that ships animals. It is an hour and fifteen minutes one way, and we have arrived only to be told that someone else had already put an animal on the flight, so there wasn’t room for our goats. Questions about shipping? E-mail us!

A deposit of $100 is required to reserve a goat. Please e-mail us with the name of the kid you want to purchase or the gender of the kid you want to reserve if not born yet, along with the name of the dam. The deposit is non-refundable.
