In 2005, we decided to add some Rosasharn genetics to our herd because our goal is milk production, and Rosasharn was one of two herds that dominated the Top Ten list for production at that time. We chose Pegasus based upon his dam’s milk records (see below), and we were very happy with the daughters he gave us through the years. His daughters were and are very dairy with soft udders and long teats that are easily milked.
In 2007, Pegasus was classified as VG (87.9) as a two year old, which was the same day the photo on the right was taken. In 2010, he classified as E (90.5) at age five, and measured 22.5 inches. The photo on the left was taken later that year after his sixth birthday.
Pegasus lived out his life here until he died peacefully at age 10. Although he is greatly missed, his legacy lives on in all of the daughters, granddaughters, etc that live on.

Eclipse was a gorgeous doe who held up wonderfully with age. At almost nine years of age, she classified as Excellent with a score of 92.7, one of the highest classification scores given to a Nigerian dwarf. The picture on the left is at 8 years old, and the picture on the right is at 10 years of age! At 10, her udder was as well-attached as it was at age 3. In fact, one month after we brought Pegasus home, Eclipse became the AGS national champion! This excellent longevity is yet another reason we wanted Pegasus as a herd sire.
